July 21, 2008 - KINGSTON, Jamaica – Two members of the Southern Connecticut State University swimming and diving program are off to strong starts at the 2008 Caribbean Island Championships. Senior Maria Zenoni of the women’s team and freshman Miguel Nesrala of the men’s squad are both representing their native Dominican Republic squad at the event, which features 20 countries from the region.

July 21, 2008 - Unfortunately for us neutral observers, there was no late drama in the Zone II race this season, as Shelton took care of business and basically ran away with its third straight zone title, something that - honestly - was somewhat expected this season, but it made the last week of the season anticlimactic.

July 14, 2008 - With a weekend free and clear of poor weather, and with the schedule set up to see all 10 teams in Zone II play, I finally took advantage. Of course, there is only one week left in the 2008 regular season, and barring a monumental collapse, it appears that Shelton will capture its third straight zone title.

We will have full coverage of the summer classics. The first pitch is hurled by Paul Lafleur the GM of Bristol Post 2.
