Class M Girls Volleyball Championship- Jonathan Law lost to RHAM, 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-14) on Friday, Nov. 14.
Class LL Girls Soccer Championship- Cheshire lost to Trumbull, 1-0, on Sunday, Nov. 16 at Municipal Stadium in Waterbury.

Girls Volleyball: Top-seeded Cheshire defeated #3 Sacred Heart Academy, 3-0, to win its league-record seventh title and fourth in the latst six years.

Cross Country: The 2008 SCC boys and girls cross country championships were held on Thursday, October 16 at Hammonasset State Park in Madison... SCC and SportsCenter of Connecticut Scholar-Athlete of the Month Program Returns in 2008-09
The SCC's partnership with the SportsCenter of Connecticut, which honors the best scholar-athletes each month, returns for the 2008-09 academic year... Click here for the list of October 2008 recipients.
SCC Hosts Unified Soccer Tournament
The SCC hosted a Unified Sports soccer tournament on Wednesday, October 22 at Amity Regional High School... It was the second straight year the league hosted a soccer tournament... Participating schools included Amity, West Haven, Wilbur Cross, Lyman Hall, Hamden, Jonathan Law, Cheshire and East Haven... The league will next host a basketball event on February 2, 2009 at the New Haven Athletic Center.
Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists Joins as SCC Corporate Sponsor
(9-23-08) -- The SCC is pleased to welcome Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists as a corporate sponsor and "official team doctor of the SCC"... Connecticut Orthopaedic is Connecticut's premiere team of orthopaedic surgeons and have offices throughout the New Haven area, including a new Surgicenter in Hamden.
SCC To Utilize Football Tiebreaker
(9-3-08) -- For the first time in the league’s 15-year existence, there will be a tiebreaker in regular-season football contests in the Southern Connecticut Conference... Click here for the news release
Six SCC Football Contests to Be Televised in 2008
(8-13-08) -- Six football contests involving SCC teams will be broadcast on television this fall... WCTX/My TV 9 will feature five games involving seven SCC schools in its “High School Game of the Week” package this fall, while MSG TV will feature a SCC contest for the second straight season... Class L Softball - North Haven (22-3) defeated Waterford, 5-4, in 8 innings to win first-ever state championship
Class L Baseball - Jonathan Law (14-11) defeated Fairfield Ludlowe, 7-1, at Palmer Field to win the Class L title.
Class L Boys Lacrosse - Fairfield Prep (19-4) won its third straight Class L title with a 15-14 (3 OT) victory over Ridgefield on Saturday, June 7 at McMahon High School.

Congratulations to the five winter sports state champions: Hillhouse (Class M boys indoor track, State Open girls indoor track), Career (Class LL girls basketball), Fairfield Prep (Division I ice hockey) and Amity (Division II ice hockey) for winning state titles this winter...
