SportingNewsCT.com was founded by owner Don Boyle in the fall of 2005. Boyle wanted to integrate his 20-years of broadcasting experience into a website that would focus on local high school, college and amateur sports. By highlighting these local teams, Boyle hopes to accentuate the positive influences sports play's in the lives of our student athletes. Thus www.sportingnewsct.com was born.
Boyle's experiences and professionalism have helped to create a new era of sports broadcasting in Connecticut. We have broadcast over 1,000 games to date including championship games for American Legion Baseball and the CIAC. Theses premier broacast have been enjoyed by parents, friends, community, athletic directors and more!

Events We Cover
CIAC - SportingNewsCT.com is the internet Play-by-Play provider for CIAC State Championship Games. We cover soccer, football, hockey, basketball, baseball, lacrosse and softball.
Southern Connecticut Conference - Composed of 23 high schools with over 23,000 students representing 17 communities. We broadcast regular season and tournament events for the SCC.
Naugatuck Valley League - Regular season football and championship games.
Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference - Regular season football, basketball, hockey, lacrosse, baseball and softball games. We also broadcast tournament events.
Yale University - During each week of the Yale football season we'll broadcast the Yale Football Press Conferences.
Southern Connecticut State University - a member of the Northeast-10 Conference. We will broadcast 10 Owl football games and 10 Men's and Women's basketball games.
American Legion Baseball - We broadcast a "Game of the Week" for American Legion Baseball. We also broadcast their Championship Tournament and cover the Junior and Senior NE Regionals.
National Football Foundation All-Star Game - We'll broadcast this summer classic. This game attracts football fans from New Haven and Fairfield counties.
