I Had a chance to sit down with Craig Zimmerman the state director of American Legion baseball in Connecticut.  we touch upon a variety of topics including the use of wood bats during the regular year and state tournament at the end of July.  We also talk briefly about the loss of Matt Roche the 19-year old Bristol catcher who passed away after an accident at Sleeping Giant Park in Hamden earlier this week.  We also chat about the upcoming tournament and how it might effect the Connecticut team which moves onto the regional tournament the first week in August.
